NEW LONDON—For a town known as “the city on the pond,” it’s only appropriate that a business called Lucky Duck landed in New London.
Located in the former Mill Pond Mercantile building in downtown New London, the 7,500-square-foot Lucky Duck is filled floor to ceiling with shelves of games, toys, puzzles, books and opportunities for hands-on play. There’s also hand-dipped ice cream, popcorn and old-fashioned sweet treats in the two-story toy store with a mission of fun.
“We want it

According to Andy Weiner, president of RockStep Capital who have owned the Willmar shopping hub on South First Street since 2015, the new name is an illustration of the transition the Kandi Mall and others like it are undergoing in the ever-changing retail landscape. The mall first opened in 1973.

A person’s style can be an outward expression of their personality. So it makes sense that the Beauty Box Boutique in Willmar puts a spotlight on fashion that is a creative mix of Minnesota and Los Angeles.
The owner of the boutique, Misty Watkins, is an LA transplant who now calls Minnesota home. She likes to stock her store with clothes local customers want and love to buy — sweaters and leggings in the winter — but also offer the glitz and glam of the West Coast.

WILLMAR – It looks like the rumors are true. National retailer Kohl’s is coming to Willmar’s Kandi Mall.

“Kohl’s has pulled a building permit from the city of Willmar,” Calvin said.
City Planner Sarah Swedburg said the building permit was taken out by Kohl’s last week and is for work to split the former Kmart location in the Kandi Mall into two different retail spaces, with Kohl’s planning to fill
