Kandiyohi County Economic Development would like to thank Jesse Gislason, Art Benson and Mary Warszynski for their service on the KCED Joint Operations Board. Art served on the Joint Operations Board from 2014-2024, serving as secretary from 2017-2020, vice president in 2021, and president in 2022 and 2023. Jesse served on the Joint Operations Board since 2019, first as secretary in 2021, then as vice president from 2022-2023, and finally as president in 2024. And Mary served on the Joint Operations Board since 2022 and as its secretary in 2023 and 2024. 💓 Thank you for your service of economic development in Kandiyohi County!🤝🏽
📣This week's business highlight is 🥪Sweet River Cafe New London🍰 . Owner Christi had always enjoyed baking🥄, especially specialty desserts, so when she heard that the Middle Fork restaurant 🏪 in New London was for sale, she decided to make what she loved to do her career. Shortly after opening 🚪 she met her future husband, 💘 Cody, when he brought his grandmother in for lunch one day. Today, this Sweet River Cafe power couple owns and operates the cafe together. Christi is often behind the scenes making specialty cake🎂 orders for all occasions, and Cody 👨🏻🍳 is managing the kitchen and whipping up the delicious recipes, serving breakfast 🥞 , lunch 🥪 and Thursday night dinners! Drop in on 🍲Souper Tuesday🍲 to get a soup flight that includes three different homemade soups. Soup so good that you want to take it home? You can! For only $22, you can take home your favorite soup, a loaf of homemade bread, and four mini desserts! Busy Thursday? Stop in for take-out 🏡👬🏾Family Style dinner🍽️! Tomorrow is the Atwater Passport to Christmas! 🎄 There will be activities and games for the kids, a medallion hunt, and a lighted parade through town. Other activities we have planned is a visit with Santa in the log shelter with a real fire roaring, s’mores, sleigh rides and fireworks! 🎅🎆 Follow Atwater Festival Committee for details!

This Sunday is the Christmas Advent Service at the Old Log Church in rural Pennock! Christmas carols sung in Norwegian and more! 🌟🎄
