This week's business highlight is 🌲 Heida's Woodworks🪑, located in Raymond ◀️ Heida's Woodworks is a family business owned by Brad Heida and operated by his sons, Brandon and Michael 👋. Together, they create handcrafted custom furniture🔨 , including cabinets🚪, bathroom vanities, closets, and even complete kitchen 🏡 and house designs! Brad started the business in the 1990s at 40 after operating a printing press for 21 years - the dream has flourished! While Brad drafts ✏️ the designs, Brandon often cuts and prepares the specialized designs using a CNC router 🖥️, a precise wood-cutting tool, before sending the finished product to the paint shop 🎨 for Michael to add the finishing touches. Their favorite part? Owner and brewer Josh Reed had always enjoyed dabbling in the home brewing business 👨🔬 , fostered by a life in the late 1990s in the brewpub🏬 and snowboard culture 🏂 of Colorado, his hobby grew into a skill. After the passing of the legislative Surly Bill, he decided to give the brewery business a go 🍻 - and Kandiyohi County and New London are thankful for it! With weekly music 🎶 , winter events like trivia night 🎯 , and festivals from December's Festivus to February's Koeslig's Fest events are happening year-round 🎪 .
