KCED approves hiring of new Executive Director

At its meeting today, Thursday, July 25, 2024, the KCED Joint Powers Board approved entering into an Employment Agreement with Patrick O'Rourke. O’Rourke holds a bachelor’s degree in communications electronic media management from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University - Bloomington School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Since 1998 O’Rourke has served as owner and consultant of Entrepreneurial Business and Nonprofit Consulting. He has held other positions during this time, including two years as the founding (interim) Executive Director of the Central Minnesota Dementia Community Action Network and the Dementia Resource Center Clinic in St. Cloud, Minnesota; nearly three years with the Redwood Region Economic Development Commission in Eureka, California; and council member with the city of Ferndale, California, for nearly three years.

O'Rourke will begin serving as the KCED Executive Director on August 1, 2024.
