NEW LONDON — For the past six years, the New London community gathered to find a way to introduce more local foods into their lives.
They wanted something that could be community-led and work to benefit local producers, businesses and everyone else in the community.
On Friday, the New London Food Cooperative will open its doors to the public after six years of planning, organizing and finally remodeling their very own brick and mortar grocery store at 14 First Ave. S.E. in New London.
