In January of 2022 KCED and partners hosted the Workforce Solutions Summit. Topics included Labor Market Trends update, Future of the Workforce by Mike Henke, Diversity and Inclusion programs, and roundtable events. KCED, and other west-central Minnesota economic development organizations, host these events yearly.

Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development has many programs that support employers. These include the: 

• Partnership Program
• Pathways Program
• Low Income Worker Training Program
• Automation Training Incentive Program
• Job Training Incentive Program
• Employer Reasonable Accommodation Fund

Additional DEED programs such as the Office of Business Development, Minnesota Trade Office, Veteran Business Loan Program, SciTech Internship Program, Emerging Entrepreneur Loan Program, Native American Business Loan Program and more can be found on the DEED Launch Minnesota website.

• The Minnesota Department of Administration has resources, including Best Practices for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The list also includes tips for planning accessible meetings and events and increasing participation.
• The Office of Human Rights has resources about laws that protect people from discrimination, familiarize with laws and create policies that support DEI initiatives. 
• The University of Minnesota has an Office for Equity and Diversity Education Program where they host virtual workshops and offer certifications. 
• CentraCare and partners host an annual Diversity Conference in St. Cloud, search for this event to learn more
• MET (Motivation Education & Training Inc.) offers rural communities in the Midwest, including Minnesota, employment training through a network of activities.
