Norway Lake Township
Norway Lake Township, mostly settled by Scandinavians, has a long history of farming. Ag is still the main economic driver in the Township. Norway Lake Township also contains over 630 acres of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Land; U.S. Wetland Production Areas is 1,535 acres; Northern Tallgrass Prairie National Wildlife Refuge of 388 acres and over 1,000 acres of nature preserve; in total, over 3,500 acres to explore with walk-in-only access. Over 2,000 acres of this is open to hunting.
