WILLMAR — Chanting “We Are Willmar” and carrying flags representing 51different countries, the colorfully-attired marchers in the unit by that name were greeted with lots of applause as they made their way down the crowd-lined streets of the Willmar Fests Parade route on Saturday.
Blast furnace temperatures throughout the weekend did not deter people from celebrating the 79th Willmar Fest, making it, by all definitions, one of the best since its origins as “Kaffe Fest” all those years ago.
