Economic Development Manager

Job Summary: 

The Economic Development Manager leads efforts to attract, retain, and expand businesses within the community. This role focuses on strengthening the local economy through strategic planning, partnerships, and program implementation that support job creation, investment, and sustainable growth.  In addition we work with volunteer committess, education programs, loan programs, and other initiatives that support our mission.

This role will be working in the city of Willmar.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economic Development, or related field, two years of experience in the area of economic development or a combination of education and experience may be considered.  We will consider business, entrepreneur, and finance experience.
