HAWICK — Tiffany Farrier knew practically nothing about farm life — and even less about raising goats — when she moved to Hawick in 2017 and purchased a 30-acre farm site with her husband. “I was kind of intimidated,” Farrier said, who moved to Minnesota from Las Vegas. TDS begins broadband expansion project in New London, several other central Minnesota cities
NEW LONDON—Residents and businesses in Brooten, Danube, Kerkhoven, New London, Pennock and Spicer will soon be gaining access to 1-gigabit broadband connections, thanks to a project by TDS Telecommunications. The telecommunications service provider broke ground on a fiber network expansion project this month. Willmar—The developer of what is thought to be the first tiny home development in the region has the southeast Willmar project out for bids. Justin Paffrath, also a real estate agent, spoke last week to the Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission to share the inspiration behind his development, as well as concept plans of how the development will be laid out. WILLMAR—If all goes to plan, Kandiyohi County could see major investment in its state highway network over the next 10 years. Based on the District 8 2023-2032 Capital Highway Investment Plan from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, work is planned on several major Kandiyohi County thoroughfares including state Highway 23, state Highway 40 and U.S. Highway 71.
