Executive Director of KCED Position Open

Salary: $100,000 to $130,000

Position Announcement: KCED Executive Director Position Profile

Job Summary: With a passion for rural Minnesota, the Executive Director will take a leadership and coordinating role in cooperation with other public, private, governmental, and educational organizations and agencies, encouraging the retention and expansion of existing businesses and the recruitment of additional businesses to Kandiyohi County. This position is responsible for leading efforts in retention, expansion, and location of businesses in the County.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economic Development, or related field, five years of experience in the effective presentation of technical economic, business, and/or industrial information and knowledge of information regarding proposed business expansion or relocation, or a combination of education and experience may be considered. A master’s degree and/or Certified Economic Developer certification are preferred.

Elevate CBA Spring 2024 Graduation Ceremony

Celebrate the Spring 2024 graduating classes of the Elevate Community Business Academy (CBA)!

The graduation meal, ceremony and celebration will take place on Friday, May 17th location TBD. Both the Spanish and English speaking classes will graduate this evening. 

Ceremony will include a meal, keynote speaker, and graduate stories. Details to follow but the Save the Date now! Public is welcome. 

 

New Look and New Name

Many changes are occurring within the organization! The Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission (EDC) will soon start using its new marketing name, Kandiyohi County Economic Development (KCED). Throughout the past year, the Marketing and Public Relations Committee has made recommendations to the Joint Operations and Joint Powers Boards. The new logo and name have both been approved, but daily use of them will wait until a new website is published in the spring of 2024!
