Carris Health/Rice Memorial Hospital is a Level 3 Trauma hospital serving a 14- county area. Rice maintains 100 inpatient beds, employs more than 900 staff and credential over 350 physicians. It is home to the Willmar Regional Cancer Center, which is affiliated with Virginia Piper Cancer Institute; Suite Beginnings with private family birth suites and round-the-clock care in Obstetrics, Pediatrics and Family Medicine; and Carris Health Center and Therapy Suites, a short-stay rehabilitation facility. Funding for many of the hospital’s programs has been provided by the Rice Health Foundation, the hospital’s philanthropic organization. The Foundation raises millions of dollars for cutting-edge healthcare.

Carris Health/ACMC Health is a multi-specialty health network with over 180 physicians and advanced practice providers in 40 specialty areas. Family Practice Medical Center in Willmar is a multi-physician clinic that provides a wide variety of services within the scope of Family Medicine. Numerous independent clinics ranging from allergy and asthma to ear, nose and throat to holistic medicine also call Kandiyohi County home. The Fischer Laser Eye Center provides comprehensive eye care, including LASEK eye correction and laser cataract surgery. Dozens of dental clinics in the area provide family care, as well as orthodontic treatment and surgical dental procedures.

Carris Health Care Center and Therapy Suites recently completed an $11 million renovation of its long- and short-term stay facilities. Bethesda provides a full continuum of care, including skilled nursing care, short-stay therapy centers, home health care, outpatient therapy, independent and assisted living, adult day services and a wellness center. Bethesda recently completed a $21 million building project and a $3.3 million construction of a new Town Center, Chapel, reflection garden and walking trail.
